LPR civilian casualties feared after Ukrainian forces allegedly explode hydrochloric acid tank

Lugansk People’s Republic militia claim retreating Ukrainian forces have blown up a tank said to contain hydrochloric acid, and are assessing the impact that they say might lead to “mass civilian casualties”.

LPR officials added that Kiev was spreading fake news about Donbass fighters blowing up the tank themselves to cover up for Ukraine’s own “criminal terrorist actions”.

In early March, Moscow warned the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) about potential false-flag attacks, insisting that US force-aided plans to exploit toxic chemicals had been developed with Ukrainian forces.
