The fact that the FDA wanted NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine) removed from the OTC market put Amazon in a precarious position, and now thousands of NAC supplements have been unlisted from Amazon and Whole Foods.

Will that happen across the board for all health food stores and other websites who sell NAC-containing supplements?

Yes, most likely. It’s a matter of time.

I’ve taken NAC for almost 7 years and do not want to lose this vital supplement.

Before coronavirus, FDA recognized NAC as an ordinary food supplement

N-acetyl-cysteine is an inexpensive amino acid with hundreds of validated scientific studies behind it. NAC provides cysteine, the amino acid for the synthesis of glutathione, the body’s main antioxidant and master detoxifier.

It is so highly effective at thinning mucus secretions, that it has been patented into various medicines.

It has become a favorite treatment intervention for many functional doctors because it is so effective for a wide variety of conditions.

Just one of its many assets, NAC helps convert dangerous cancer-causing estrogen metabolites to safer estrogens that can be eliminated by your body.  Without NAC, women are going to suffer.

The Real Reason the FDA attacked NAC 

Solid research shows that spike proteins damage the body, specifically, the lungs.

Now, focus your attention on the 3rd slide (B,ii)  which shows the “rescue” for the spike protein damage (highlighted yellow).

The study references NAC! Exact wording is “rescued by treatment with N-acetyl-L-cysteine“! 

Look at the date of the study: March 2021… They took NAC off of the shelves in May, 2021.

Why would they inject people with something that they know is harmful, and then take the “remedy” for the damage off of the shelves?

Don’t we already know the answer?

FDA Is Aiding Covid-19 Vaccine Makers, Attempting Removal Of a Competing Supplement

NAC is marketed without any disease claims so, what is the problem?

It’s about NAC “curing” COVID-19.  The FDA appears to be changing regulations on behalf of vaccine makers who are allowed to market their experimental vaccines under emergency use provisions as long as “there are no adequate approved and available alternatives.” 

NAC may just be such an alternative that would block emergency use of COVID-19 vaccines. (Along with many natural God-given foods with shikimic acid, and more).

So, Amazon.com caved in to the FDA and removed NAC from its online offerings. But you can still get it here and many other online vitamin stores.

The dietary supplement industry is advising its members to continue selling NAC supplements.  The FDA and supplement industry are in a standoff, but without serious unified pushback across the board, we can guess the outcome.

N-Acetyl Cysteine & Severe COVID-19

The British Medical Journal (Oct., 2020) alerted the medical community that “a distinctive feature of COVID-19 is the presence of mucus plugs in the respiratory tract which explains the severity of this disease… and we recommend treatment with NAC to relieve bronchial obstruction.” (emphasis mine)

Since we know that T-cells, not antibodies, control COVID-19 infection long-term, NAC becomes more attractive because of its ability to raise T-cell counts through its ability to increase glutathione levels. Furthermore, NAC activates a type of white blood cell (natural killer cells) that kills virally infected cells.

Recommendations depending on the symptoms/conditions you are treating (Source Dr. Axe):

• Between 600–1,800 milligrams of NAC daily seems to be effective against many conditions; a 600 mg. capsule taken two to three times a day is the recommended dosage to start with.
• There’s evidence that 2,000 milligrams is safe for most adults.
• Higher doses may be needed to treat certain chronic and degenerative diseases, including COPD, impaired glucose control and cancer. For example, doses of about 2,800 milligrams per day for up to three months seem to be effective for adults with COPD, according to some studies.
